Agriculture Program

Food security remains the core concern to many families in the South Sudan. The post referendum period as a matter of fact should actually be devoted to the rebuilding of the livelihoods of the peoples of South Sudan. More especially with the declaration of the South Sudan as a republic,  actually more and more returnees are expected to be seen in the region hence necessitating the consolidation of their livelihood with their assets both in terms of tools and the technical knowhow. It is noteworthy to point here that the overall goal of the Uror community-based agriculture, water and sanitation program was to serve as an improvement of the Uror County rural population’s livelihood. This program as a point to note coincided with a disaster resulting out of the over 21 years of civil strife without witnessing any significant intervention in the area except this one provided by PRDA.
